Protecting Our Children Event At Hudson Honda

This past weekend we had the privilege of hosting our very first Protecting Our Children event in our showroom. We partnered up with the Keeping Kids Safe Project for free private security files, identifiable info, fingerprints and photos for the children. The event also included free Tae Kwon Do classes from TKK Tae Kwon.

KTK Tae Kwon Do group also put on a great performance for the kids that showed up to be fingerprinted. See videos below!

The West New York Police Dept and Fire Dept came out to show their support. We look forward to helping the community even more through our Fueling the Community campaign and many other future projects and events. 

Hudson Honda Fueling the Community Car Donation Event For North Hudson Community Action Center

Yesterday our General Manager Chris Tropiano presented the North Hudson Community Action Corporation (NHCAC) with a brand-new white 2012 Honda CR-V on a free one-year lease as a part of our Fueling the Community campaign on Facebook. We featured three incredible charities on our Facebook which included the Rebeka Verea Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of Hudson County and of course the North Hudson Community Action Corporation. We asked our fans to vote for which non-profit they wanted to see win a 2011 Honda C-RZ lease for year or a cash donation instead. We had an overwhelming response from the community and NHCAC received a total of 377 votes which led the organization for the win.

NHCAC decided to take the one year lease instead of the monetary donation. 
Originally the promotion was for a Honda C-RZ but after we learned that the organization would be using the car to transport members of the community we decided to upgrade it to a 2012 Honda C-RV which is a much bigger vehicle.  

Our Fueling the Community campaign will be run every 3 months and we will include more local non-profits in the community who will also have a chance to win either a one year lease or monetary donation.

We are currently deciding on the next non-profit participants for our Fueling the Community promotion. If you would like to nominate a local non-profit please write us a message on our Facebook wall!

Hudson Honda Introduces New ‘Fueling the Community’ Outreach Program, One Vote at a Time

North Jersey charities, get the word out. It’s your turn to profit from a local vendor’s generosity.

Hudson Honda’s new; “Fueling the Community” outreach program gives local non-profits a free ride for one year or a monetary donation if the winning charity prefers that instead.

Three organizations are chosen to vie on Facebook for the full-time use of a brand new 2011 Honda CR-Z. The winning charity has a choice between accepting the one year lease or receiving a monetary donation instead. Hudson Honda Facebook fans then vote for the winning recipient. The first rounds of nominees are North Hudson Community Action Corporation, Rebeka Verea Foundation and Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County

North Hudson Community Action Corporation provides comprehensive health and social services to promote and improve the quality of life for northern New Jersey residents.

Rebeka Verea Foundation, founded in memory of the Cliffside Park High School graduate killed in a car accident on her graduation night, helps raise youth awareness on the dangers of driving too fast.  

Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County strives to enable young people to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

“By getting our fans help in selection, we try to include everyone in thanking so many wonderful volunteers,” expressed Hudson Honda General Manager Chris Tropiano. “These giving people are truly the ones who fuel our community.”
